You can close your ghar.money account and have everything we hold about you erased. You can do this from the app, here on this page, or by email.
If you have the app
Settings, then Delete account. You confirm it is you, and the account closes straight away and signs out on every device.
If you do not have the app
Enter the email address or mobile number you sign in with. We send it a code to confirm it is you, then you confirm the deletion.
Or write to hello@ghar.money from the email address on the account, asking us to delete it. We check that the request came from you, then close the account and erase it on the timetable below. You do not need to give a reason.
What happens next
The account closes at once. 7 days later everything is erased: your profile, everything you told us, anything you uploaded, and the properties and loans on the account. The 7 days exist so the decision can be undone: sign in during that window and you will be offered the account back.
What is kept
- A record that consent was given, when, whether it was withdrawn, and when erasure happened, with the email address held only as a one-way code. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act requires us to be able to show that consent was given.
- A one-way code derived from the PAN, so that a new account with the same PAN is recognised. The PAN cannot be read back from it.
The privacy policy sets this out in full, alongside everything else we hold and for how long.
